Paige and Chris’ wedding day started with those classic Hobart harbour views and a getting-ready room that felt instantly warm and fun. There was so much to photograph before we even left the house – the timeless dress hanging by the window, deep green bridesmaid dresses lined up and ready, teal heels, and that bold red rose bouquet that popped beautifully against everything. The morning had that perfect mix of calm moments and excited chaos: people coming in and out, final touches, little happy nerves, and lots of laughter. Then it was time for the ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral, with that long-aisle moment, stained glass, and the kind of happy nerves you can feel in the photos.

After the vows, we took advantage of the gardens for portraits – lush greenery, a little breathing space, and that “we’re married” glow that settles in right after the ceremony. Nothing too stiff, just natural movement, close cuddles, and the little in-between moments that always end up being the favourites. Then we jumped on a catamaran and headed toward Peppermint Bay, with the Channel breeze doing its thing, veils fluttering, hair escaping pins, and everyone leaning into the fun of it.

From there the celebration just kept building. Speeches that had everyone laughing one minute and wiping eyes the next, and then the energy shifted into full party mode with live music and a busy dance floor. And to finish, we stole a quiet moment outside under the festoon lights – that soft end-of-night feel, when everything is a little slower and you can finally take it all in. A proper Hobart wedding day, equal parts classic, windy, emotional, and ridiculously joyful.
